West Beach Park

A popular caravan park for travellers and locals alike. West Beach Park is on the foreshore of the beach, so not only do you have all the park facilities but you literally have the beach on your doorstep.

The list of facilities at this caravan park is never-ending, it seems. There is a swimming pool, jumping pillow, playground, fire pits, gym, camp kitchen, pedal carts and a grocery/supplies store, The Shack, to name a few.
Accommodation options include beach houses, cabins, caravan sites, camping sites, powered and unpowered and eco-tents. They really have all budgets and styles catered for.
Looking outside the park, you’re also within walking distance of West Beach Mini Golf and West Beach Adventure Playground. Glenelg beach, shopping and restaurant district is an 8-minute drive, Harbour Town Premium Outlet stores is a 4-minute drive and Adelaide CBD is only an 18-minutes drive away

Brighton Beachfront Holiday Park

Another beachfront beauty. This time at the popular beachside spot of Brighton. As described on their own website “Set right on the beach in Kingston Park (Tulukutangga) overlooking the crystal waters of Gulf St Vincent, you can enjoy spectacular views, comfort and cleanliness. Our Adelaide caravan park offers a central location only 17kms from Adelaide CBD or 10 minutes from Glenelg”
Facilities include BBQs, camp kitchen, games room, go-kart and bike hire, playground, kiosk, laundry and 9-hole mini-golf.

Lest we forget the absolute beachfront location. Again you can roll out of your tent straight onto the beach. Take a short walk behind the caravan park and you’ll find some walking trails giving you an aerial view back down to the caravan park and across the Gulf St Vincent. This slight elevation also gives you the most amazing sunset views.
Accommodation includes villas sleeping between 2 – 6 people, budget cabins, and powered grass or slab sites.
Brighton Beachfront is also dog and pet friendly on the caravan and campsites and budget cabins only

Adelaide Showground Caravan Park

You could not be more centrally located than at the Adelaide Showground Caravan Park. Located inside the Showgrounds, with entrance to the park off Leader street. This park is totally contactless, whereby you’ll receive a gate code 48 hours before arrival. You simply punch in the code upon arrival and the boom gate will open for you.
Facilities include a brand new camp kitchen, alfresco dining area, BBQ and laundry.
The absolute best thing about the Adelaide Showground Caravan park is its location.

On Sundays, you have direct access to the famous Farmers Market, as well as the Goodwood Road eating district within walking distance. Out on both Leader Street and Goodwood Street, you have access to amazing public transport options into the City and down to Glenelg. You also have access to the Goodwood Train Station and Goodwood Tram station, both within walking distance too.

Adelaide is literally at your fingertips in all directions from this caravan park.
Accommodation is only what you bring with you, whether that be a tent, caravan or motorhome. There are no cabins.

Also worth noting tent pegs are not permitted to be used anywhere at this park. A supply of weights are left around the park and are free of charge to use.
Adelaide Showground Caravan park is also pet-friendly with a maximum of two dogs allowed per site and they must be leashed at all times.

Marion Holiday Park

You’d be forgiven for thinking you were in a tropical hotel resort while staying at this hidden gem in the suburbs of Adelaide.
Marion Holiday Park is nestled amongst a lush tropical rainforest with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, outdoor cinemas, sports facilities, a beer garden, water park, camp kitchen & BBQs, fire pits, playground and so much more. This place is next level cool!

Another beachfront beauty in the Adelaide suburb of Semaphore. Adelaide Beachfront Semaphore is part of the Discovery Holiday Parks group, with several sites around South Australia and the country.

Being in the suburbs you have easy access to Port Adelaide precinct, the maritime museum and of course Adelaide itself. Semaphore has a great jetty to walk along with and a lot of great cafes and restaurants to discover.

If you’re looking for a relaxing time at the park, you can enjoy facilities such as a swimming pool, camp kitchen, playground, laundry, activity room, bouncing pillow, Park Kiosk and Store. This is also a pet-friendly park, so your fur babies are welcome.

Levi Adelaide Holiday Park

A hidden gem close to the city, Levi Adelaide Holiday Park is only 4kms from the CBD and nestled on the tranquil banks of the River Torrens. Self-described as a “leafy riverside oasis in the centre of Adelaide”.

If you’re so inclined, you can walk into the city. It will take approximately 45 minutes, and you’ll pass by the Adelaide Zoo and the Botanic Gardens. Both are worthwhile stop-off points.
Enjoy your stay at Levi in one of their heritage apartments, riverside villas, cabins or in your own caravan or tent on a powered site.

They also have ensuite powered sites if you’re not keen on sharing the amenities block.
Facilities include a fully equipped camp kitchen, go-kart hire, a brand new swimming pool, electric BBQs, amenities block, babies bathroom, special access bathroom, laundry, TV lounge, tennis courts and free Wi-Fi.

Windsor Gardens Caravan Park

Another park on the banks of the River Torrens in the leafy suburb of Windsor Gardens. Windsor Garden Caravan Park is just 7kms from the city centre, in Linear Park, where if you’re out and about on a walking trail you’re very likely to see some furry native wildlife.

Due to the tranquil surroundings, you may want to just relax with a good book. If that’s not your style the manicured landscape in the park is great for a game of Bocce followed by a BBQ lunch at their undercover BBQ area.

Other facilities include a playground, laundry, kiosk, amenities block and camp kitchen.
Accommodation ranges from powered camping and caravan sites to budget units and ensuite cabins.
For a day out in Adelaide, the O’Bahn is a short but lovely 15-minute stroll away. Meander along the River Torrens and within 10 minutes on the O’Bahn you’ll be in CBD.

Brownhill Creek Tourist Park

Brownhill Creek Tourist Park is another park very close to Adelaide, only 7kms, and found in another leafy suburb, this time Mitcham.
Set on 25 acres it is the perfect place to rest and unwind in its tranquil surroundings.
Facilities at the park include a swimming pool, free wifi, tennis courts, outdoor cinema, picnic area, camp kitchen, pizza oven, tour desk, express check-in and out, a snack bar and great coffee!

Pets are allowed on sites only.

Because the park is situated in a National Park, it’s full of opportunities for bushwalking, mountain biking and even horseriding. Or you could be lucky and even spot some native wildlife

Aldinga Beach Holiday Park

The go-to park for Aldinga, Port Willunga and Silver Sands beaches. Aldinga Beach Park is a family-owned park and is self-described as “offering a unique, tranquil & peaceful caravan park setting on 10 acres nestled beside the Aldinga scrub”
It’s also a great base point for McLaren Vale and visiting some wineries or the Farmers Market in Willunga. Or even a stop-off point on your way down the Peninsula or on the way to Cape Jervis and beyond to Kangaroo Island.

Christies Beach Tourist Park

Described as a “small, boutique park located beside a popular surf beach and reef with breathtaking views of Gulf St Vincent” on their website, they’re not wrong. Tucked away between the Esplanade and the foreshore is this hidden gem.
Christies Beach Tourist Park has facilities such as laundry, camp kitchen, modern amenities block, playground, pool table and pedal carts & BBQ for hire, meaning the big and little kids are covered.
Accommodation options include Villas sleeping between 4 – 6 people, and powered Caravan or camping grass sites or slab sites.

Christies Beach Tourist Park is also a dog-friendly park, but only on their caravan/campsites, unfortunately not in the villas.
Around the park, take a lovely stroll along the Esplanade toward Beach Road where you’ll find a few cafes and restaurants.

Further, afield Port Noarlunga reef and jetty are a short 5-minute drive. There are also a number of really great cafes and restaurants in Port Noarlunga to try.
The Onkaparinga River Mouth and famous stairs are only a 9-minute drive south. A must-see in these parts. And Colonnades shopping centre only 9 minutes inland. But you’ll be having far too much fun at the caravan park and the local beach to be worried about shopping. Right?

Highway 1 Caravan and Tourist Park Bolivar

Approximately 30 minutes north of Adelaide and on Highway 1 to the Barossa Valley, is Highway 1 Caravan and Tourist Park.
